Vintage 14 Karat Gold and Nephrite Jade Ring - VR

Offered here for your consideration is an fine gold and jade cabochon ring in the Chinese taste.  
It dates to the 20th century. 
The nephrite jade cabochon is dark green in color and is bezel set in a setting with a pierced gallery on the underside. This openwork allows light to enter the stone from the underside.   
The ring is in overall good, as-pictured used estate condition with some very light edge wear, some fine and light surface scratches here and there, and other signs of light wear consistent with age.
The shank bears an illegible mark (which could be either for fineness or maker). The gold professionally tests at 14K.
